b'Table 3.Specific gravity and chip color (USDA chip chart and HunterLab L-value) after grading and following 8-weeks storage at 5.5C (42F) for advancing chip processing selections and cultivars, Hoople, ND, 2019. Due to reduced yields, we were unable to conduct chip evaluations from 3.3C, as in previous years. The chip processing trial was planted on May 28, 2019, vine killed approximately September 13, and harvested on October 8 using a single-row Grimme harvester.The replicated plots were 20 feet long, with a 12-inch with-in row spacing, and 38 inches between rows.SpecificField Chip5.5C Storage CloneGravity 1 Chart 1 Hunter 2 ChartHunter 1.ND7519-11.0809162557 2.ND7799c-11.0613265559 3.ND8331Cb-21.0845260461 4.ND102642C-31.0721265558 5.ND102922C-31.0779260655 6.ND113508C-41.0761458653 7.ND113509C-21.0741359558 8.ND113533AB-21.0780263558 9.ND122C-11.0773359851 10.ND12107CB-11.0830358944 11.ND13228CAB-31.0760163263 12.ND13275CB-11.0707458751 13.ND1446CB-81.0744456945 14.Atlantic1.0826458847 15.Dakota Crisp1.0673454946 16.Dakota Diamond1.0700751941 17.Dakota Pearl1.0772360459 18.Ivory Crisp1.0770457850 19.Lamoka1.0784458848 20.Pike1.0762457944 21.Snowden1.0839556845 22.Waneta1.0853263462 Mean1.0765359653 LSD (=0.05) 0.00752526 1 Specific gravity determined by weight-in-air, weight-in-water method. 2 USDA Potato Chip Color Reference Standard, Courtesy of B.L.
