Remove bacon from pan with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Remove bacon drippings from the skillet and reserve.Working in batched, add 1/8 cup of bacon dripping with the potatoes and onions to the pan and toss to coat. Add the season salt, pepper and garlic powder and cook over medium low heat stirring frequently, until the potatoes are golden brown and tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
