Danielle Golden has spent the past twenty-eight years in the potato industry where she was instrumental in acquiring and servic- ing numerous accounts, specifically within the chipping potato segment. Danielle joins Heartland Farms as Senior Sales and Customer Service Manager to continue to build upon their success in providing high quali- ty products and services to many of the top snack food manufacturing companies in the United States. Rachael Lynch Joins Potatoes USA as a Global Marketing Manager Potatoes USA is pleased to announce Rachael Lynch has joined its staff as a Global Marketing Manager for insti- tutional foodservice markets. Lynch has spent the last 5 years revi- talizing hospital cafeterias across the country, transforming them to meet national health guidelines with inno- vating concepts focused on wellness and standardization. Lynch is a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics with an emphasis in foodservice. In 2014, she earned the “Be Well” Honor Award for Excellence in well- ness. Lynch spent a semester at Eastern Illinois University as an adjunct professor sharing her expert- ise in foodservice and nutrition. Lynch is also a ServeSafe certified food and safety manager. Lynch will focus on managing Potatoes USA’s school foodservice and salad bar pro- grams, as well as developing a global marketing strategy for institutional foodservice. Lynch received a Master’s Degree of Science in Dietetics from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois and a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dietetics from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Lynch is passionate about driving wellness, creating modern marketing concepts to reach a global market, and stimulating new ways to think of fit foods. She is a native of the Chicagoland area and is excited about the transition to Denver with a new mountain view and a plethora of outdoor activities. Dennis Olson Retires From USDA/ARS After 27 Years Of Service Dennis Olson retired from the USDA Potato Research worksite on June 24th, 2016. Dennis was a mainte- nance and operations worker for 27 years. For almost his entire career Dennis worked under Marty Glynn, who retired late last year. Dennis took great pride in maintaining the facility and helped coordinate the processing evaluation of advanced chip and fry clones. Dennis was pre- sented with a certificate of apprecia- tion for his years of service from ARS Administrator, Dr. Chavonda Jacobs- Young at his retirement party which was attended by many friends like Duane (Sarge) Preston, Marty Glynn, and Willem Schrage just to name a few.
