b'2019 Potato Bowl USA T he 54th annual Potato Bowl week was held September 9ththrough the 14th. The week was full of events celebrating thepotato and UND football. The week ended with the footballgameonSaturdaybetweentheUniversityofNorthDakotaFighting Hawks andSam Houston State.Tuesday, there was a potato chip giveaway held at the Scheelsstore in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It was a huge success withScheelshandingoutmanybagsofpotatochips.TheHugosPlinko Contest also got underway on Tuesday.On Wednesday the Hugos Potato Bowl Golf Scramble was heldat Valley Golf Course in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Therewere 32 teams at this years event. It was a cloudy day, a littlebreezywithahigharound60degrees.ReggieSoholt,RandyKnudsvig,MitchPeterson,andJeremyHughesofFirstStateBank, won the tournament with a score of 59.Thursday evening was scheduled to be the J. R.
