M A R C H 2 0 1 9 20 POTATO GROWER 2019 NPPGA Annual Meritorious Service Award and Chairman’s Banquet The 2019 Annual NPPGA Chairman’s and Meritorious Service Award Banquet was held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Tuesday, February 19th. The banquet was well attended with over 250 growers and industry peo- ple. Everyone that was in atten- dance enjoyed a wonderful evening. TJ Hall, of Hall Farms is the new NPPGA Chairman (article on TJ Hall on page 5). He was handed the gavel from Eric Halverson, CEO of Black Gold Farms, Grand Forks, North Dakota who served as chair- man for the past year. Dave Moquist and Paul Dolan received the NPPGA’s Meritorious Service Awards at the banquet. Dave Moquist is one of the partners in the O. C. Schulz & Sons in Crystal, North Dakota. Dave and his wife JoAnn have five children, Andy, Rebecca, Sarah, Emily, and Jonathan. Paul Dolan was General Manager at Associated Potato Growers in Grand Forks, North Dakota for 25 years before his retirement in December 2018. Paul has been married to his wife, Barbara for 43 years. They have two children, Jeff and Kerry. The entertainment portion of the night was light music by Jazz On Tap with a social before the speakers and then another social after the speakers where everyone could visit. The NPPGA would like to thank Cenex Harvest States, Bremer Bank and the NPPGA Potato Associates and all of the sponsors who helped make this year’s event successful.
